David Tvalabeishvili was appointed to the position of Rehabilitation Manager/Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Georgian State Electrosystem in October 2018. In 2012-2018 he was the General Director of JSC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), one of the largest corporations in Georgia. Before joining GOGC in 2012, he worked for Millennium Challenge Georgia Fund (MCG) as an Energy Project Director and at USAID/Georgia as a Project Manager in the energy field where he managed Georgia’s energy infrastructure rehabilitation programs. Prior to that, David was a Carbon Finance Coordinator for the South Caucasus at the World Bank office in Tbilisi. During 1996 through 2005 Mr. Tvalabeishvili worked as a Strategic Planning Manager at the Georgian International Oil Corporation, where he was actively involved in all aspects of negotiations, development and implementation of the Baku-Supsa Early Oil Pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Main Export Pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum South Caucasus Pipeline System on the territory of Georgia. He graduated from Tbilisi State University, faculty of physics.

Zakaria Avaliani

Zakaria Avaliani was appointed as a member of the Management Board of JSC Georgian State Electrosystem in 2018. He manages the strategic unit responsible for implementing capital projects. Zakaria has many years of experience in the energy sector. From 2011, he was the Technical Director of JSC Georgian Gas and Oil Corporation, one of the largest energy companies in Georgia. From 2007, he worked as an International Project Manager at the same organization. From 2014 to 2018, he was member of the Supervisory Board of Gardabani Combined-Cycle Thermal Power Plant. At the beginning of his career, he worked for various organizations in the field of labor safety and environment protection. Zakaria graduated from the Technical University of Georgia, majoring in international economic law.

Giorgi Amuzashvili

Giorgi Amuzashvili was appointed as a Member of the Management Board and Head of Dispatch Department of JSC Georgian State Electrosystem in 2017. Giorgi joined the company in 2009 and worked in the positions of Dispatcher, Senior Dispatcher, Senior Engineer of Technical Inspectorate, Deputy Chief Dispatcher, Network Substation Development Project Manager and WAM Project Manager. In 2016-2017 he worked for BP Georgia Ltd, in 2006-2009 – for JSC Energy Invest, in 2003-2005 - for East Energy Corp. Ltd. Giorgi graduated from Georgian Technical University qualifying as an electrical engineer. He took Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the Georgian Technical University.

Zurab Ezugbaia

Zurab Ezugbaia was appointed as a Member of the Management Board of JSC Georgian State Electrosystem in 2008. He manages the company’s commercial and legal departments. Zurab joined GSE in 2004 and worked in the positions of Legal Manager and Legal Executive Manager. In 2000-2001 he worked for the Ministry of Justice of Georgia as the Head of Citizenship, Immigration, Civil Status Registration and Notary Department. In 2001 he worked for the State Chancellery Office as the Deputy Head of Legal Service. In 2001-2003 he was the Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia and Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry. Zurab graduated from Tbilisi Iv. Javakhishvili State University, Legal Department, majoring in Jurisprudence and being qualified as a Lawyer.

David Vardiashvili was appointed as a member of the Management Board of JSC Georgian State Electrosystem in 2018. He manages the directions of procurement and logistics. Before joining GSE, from 2014, David worked as the Financial Director of JSC Georgian Gas and Oil Corporation. David has many years of experience working in public service. In 2016-2017, he was Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, while in 2013-2014, he was First Deputy State Governor of Kvemo Kartli. In various periods, he held managerial positions at the Revenue Service, also at the Parliament of Georgia and Tbilisi City Hall. David has solid experience in the energy sector as well. In 2009-2010, he was General Director of Georgian Oil and Gas Service Company LLC, in 2007-2008 - General Director of state-owned oil company JSC Teleti Oil Company (former JSC Saknavtobi), General Director of Iori Valley Oil and Gas LLC, and Advisor to the General Director of Oil and Gas Corporation LLC. David graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Georgian Technical University and the Faculty of Law at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Engineering. He is a Correspondent Member of the Georgian Engineering Academy, and author of a number of scientific works and one monography.

Mamuka Skhiladze

Mamuka Skhiladze was appointed as a Member of the Management Board of JSC Georgian State Electrosystem in 2011. In 2010-2011 he worked for Energotrans, GSE subsidiary, as the Deputy Finance Director. In 2006-2007 he was the Finance Director at Tegeta Motors, in 2007-2008 – the Head of Budget and Control Department at JSC Bank of Georgia, in 2006 – the Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and in 2005 – the Audit-Supervisor at Deloitte & Touche Tomatsu. Mamuka took Master’s degree in Business Administration at ESM Tbilisi.

Ucha Uchaneishvili

Ucha Uchaneishvili

Ucha Uchaneishvili was appointed as a Member of the Management Board and Head of Technical Division of JSC Georgian State Electrosystem in 2018. He has an extensive experience of working for the power sector. From 1994, he worked for Sakenergo and later for Georgian State Electrosystem in the positions of Dispatcher, Chief Dispatcher and Dispatch Executive Manager. Since 2008, he worked as Head of Dispatch Davison at GSE. Ucha graduated from the Georgian Technical University qualifying as an electrical engineer.
