Replacement of a power transformer in Menji 220kV substation
The objective of this project component is the strengthening of the power supply in west Georgia region by replacement of one of the two 63 MVA autotransformers (230/121/11 kV) of Menji 220 kV substation with a new 125 MVA autotransformer. This replacement remarkably increased the capacity of energy supply to the regional 110kV distribution system. The autotransformer has been delivered installed and commissioned by the consortium of Balikesir Elektromekanik Sanayi Tesisleri A.S. and BEST Elektrik Taahüt ve Ticaret A.S. (BEST/BETAS), Turkey.
