Construction of 500/220kV Substation in Jvari
This project component comprises of the construction of a new 500/220kV substation with 500/220/10.5 kV power transformer with 3 x 167 MVA and a 500 kV shunt reactor with 3 x 60 MVAR. The project is being implemented by Engenenharia E Sistemas, S.A. (EFACEC), Portugal. Presently, the main construction and installation works are finalized.
Project Details:
- Substation installed Capacity 501 MVA (3x 167 MVA single phase autotransformer plus 1 spare phase)
- 500 kV 2 bus bur systems with 1.5 breaker scheme
- Double Bus bur system on 220 kV side
- 220 kV 12 Bay fully equipped (5x reserve place, 1x reserve line bay fully equipped)
- New Control Building and Guard House with capability to control with video surveillance system (CCTV)
- New SCADA system equipped with New Control and Protection

- Project Finish Time 15 November 2016
Project Cost:
- 18.5 Million Euro (Without VAT)
