Due to its geographical location, Georgia plays a significant role in the process of solving tasks related to energy integration in the Caucasus region. JSC Georgian State Electrosystem strives to be a significant player in the energy market of the Caucasus region and to ensure the establishment of Georgia as a regional electricity hub. In terms of further integration of the electricity market, the company cooperates with neighboring partners in the Republic of Turkey, the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, which ensures both reliable and safe operation, the implementation of electricity export, import, and transit, as well as mutual assistance in emergency situations.

In the direction of integration into the European space and harmonization with it, Georgian State Electrosystem actively cooperates with European partners, on the one hand, in accordance with the Association Agreement signed between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, its member states, and Georgia, and on the other hand, in accordance with the Protocol on Georgia's accession to the Treaty establishing the Energy Community.

With the aim of sharing experience in the field of organizing electricity market structure and ensuring safe electricity supply, and harmonizing Georgia's energy legislation with European Union requirements, GSE strives to deepen relations with transmission system operators operating at the European Union level.
