Georgian State Electrosystem Continues Rehabilitation Works of Transmission Network
Second stage of rehabilitation works are in progress on power transmission line Paliastomi-2. Works started on August 3 and will be finalized by the end of the month. Thus the complete rehabilitation of PTL Paliastomi 1,2 on the Georgian territory will be completed.
Fiber-optic cable installation works on PTL Manavi and Toneti-2 will start in September. Application of communication and IT technologies will enable the Company to enhance power system management process. As for emergency situations – rapid information exchange will enable fast response to emergency and will increase power safety.
Abovementioned works will facilitate the reliability of the transmission system and its correspondence to modern standards.
