Consultation Meetings Held at GSE Premises

GSE is implementing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system update project. In this regard working meetings were held with the participation of representatives of one of the leading consultation companies PricewaterhouseCoopers, SIEMENS, ALSTOM and GSE. SIEMENS and ALSTOM regional managers and technical experts Bernard Bushner, Ruslan Barba and Philip Rhoze made presentations on SCADA software.

This project is of significant importance for GSE. SCADA system is used for the purpose of measuring and monitoring data received from substations, for implementing remote control of substations and for making relevant decisions based on this information.

“Renewed substations, primary and secondary equipment, communication systems existing in GSE substations and to be installed in new substations require exchange of more voluminous information and improved software. These kind of meetings are necessary in order to make the system more flexible, reliable and stable” – said Sulkhan Zumburidze, Chairman of the Management Board of GSE.

SCADA program update will be completed by the end of 2018.
