SS Menji-220 Reconstruction is Completed
Project for the reconstruction of Menji substation, one of the most important substations for energy system of the country has been completed. In frames of Regional Network Enhancement Project old 63 mega-volt ampere autotransformer 1 at Menji-220 was substituted with the new 125 mega-volt ampere autotransformer.
Project implied strengthening of installed capacity of the substation and its implementation greatly contributed to stability and reliability of electricity supply.
Menji substation reconstruction was financed by Asian Development Bank (ADB). Works were carried out by Turkish company BEST/BETAS. Reconstruction works were carried out during 6 months.
