Working Meeting with Portuguese Company REN
Third meeting related to integration into generation network, system stability increase, investment suggestion and integration of National Dispatch Center into Ten Year Network Development Plan was held at GSE premises in frames of consultations provided regarding the Ten Year Network Development Plan of Georgia.
The meeting was attended by GSE representatives, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Georgia, Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission and consultants from REN, System Technical Operator of Portugal.
Following topics were discussed during the meeting: new generation integration analysis with the use of RenRecep. software, which can calculate supply of new capacity into one or several junctions simultaneously, that maybe used during network development planning.
GSE’s position regarding enhancement of system stability analysis, which is already included in Ten Year Network Development Plan of 2016-2026 was presented during the meeting, as well as loss of load expected, loss of load frequency, loss of load duration, loss of energy expected.
REN consultants offered integration of National Dispatch Center into Ten Year Network Development Plan and they also shared their experience regarding financing of projects implying strengthening of transmission network through connection of new generation/consumption.
