Georgian State Electrosystem Delegation paid working visit to Talinn, Estonian Capital

At the working meeting, held in the head office of Estonian Transmission Grid Operator Elering the parties presented presentations about Georgian and Estonian transmission Grids’ current state, ongoing projects and future plans.

The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the general specifics of the construction of the submarine power cables and to obtain information from the Estonian side in this regard. Estonian Transmission Grid Operator has successfully implemented a submarine power cable project that links Estonia and Finland and ensures secure electricity supply between the two countries.Georgia may get connected to the European power grid by the Black Sea submarine power transmission line. Therefore, one’s own example of the successful implementation of such projects is a significant experience for the Georgian State Electrosystem.
