Stephen Opitz Member of Management Committee at KfW visit Georgian State Electrosystem
Stephen Opitz, a member of the Management Committee at KfW Development bank and other senior officials visited Georgian State Electrosystem.
Ucha Uchaneishvili, Chairman of the Management Board of GSE talked to the guests about the importance of Georgian energy sector, projects planned under the ten-year development plan of the country and future plans of the company. During the visit, guests visited the NCC, which is responsible for the operational management of Georgian power system, the proper operation of transmission facilities and sustainability of the power system.
With the financial support of the German Bank for Reconstruction, large-scale construction and rehabilitation projects of transmission lines and substations in Georgia are being implemented, both in terms of network and substation rehabilitation. In the future, construction of transboundary infrastructure is planned, which will make the country's energy supply more reliable and facilitate export-import.
