Working Meetings in the Framework of the Project for the Development of a Generation Development Plan
The next session of the working meeting was held in the framework of the Project for the Development of a Generation Development Plan at the Georgian State Electrosystem Headquarters, attended by representatives of GSE, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, GNERC and French companies (EDF and Energies Demain).
During the meetings with the representatives of French financial institutions, the structure of the Electricity Generation Development Plan, the basics of decision making, the features of the planning of hydropower systems and the general aspects of long-term electricity consumption forecasting were discussed. The meeting also discussed the mathematical model of generation made by the GSE team in the PLEXOS program, the goals and the possibilities of its use.
The purpose of the Project for the Development of a Generation Development Plan is to plan long-term generation and consumption using the Power System Planning Software Complex (PLEXOS). Project implementation is important not only for the Georgian State Electrosystem, but also for Georgia's energy development.
