Black Sea Submarine Transmission Line Project Workshop

Delegation of the Georgian State Electrosystem visited Transelectrica, electricity transmission system operator in Romania, in order to agree on the positions of the Georgian-Romanian Black Sea Submarine Transmission Line project.

Representatives of Romanian and Georgian transmission system operators discussed prospects of Black Sea submarine transmission line project andagreed on data, which will be reflected in a special application form for the PECI/PMI project evaluation process that will be submitted to the Energy Community.

Energy Union Application deadline is in the end of February. The Georgian State Electrosystem and Transelectrica will jointly present a project that will enable Georgia to connect to the European power grid via a submarine transmission line.
