Energy Markets Trading and Risk Management Training Course

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Energy Program (UEP) organized a training course on Energy Markets Trading and Risk Management. Georgian State Electrosystem's employees, who participate in energy market development program, attended the training.
Participants underwent gas and electricity simulation test in which GSE team showed the best results. The simulation platform allows marketers to define the features of their operation and to train participants in advance.
The electricity market in Georgia will launch operation in 2021 and the day-ahead, the hour market and balancing mechanism will be introduced. Introducing free energy markets is the part of the reform that Georgia should implement in terms of joining Energy Community.
