Study Trip to Zugdidi
Within the framework of the study tour, the management of the Georgian State Electrosystem visited Zugdidi Municipality Alexandre Gurtskaya Gymnasium "GG" and gave a presentation to the high school students about the company's activities.
Ucha Uchaneishvili, Chairman of the Management Board of Georgian State Electrosystem spoke to the students about the role of GSE in the development of the country's energy, current and planned large-scale projects, importance of modern technologies and recently, greatly improved infrastructure relevant to European standards.
The Georgian State Electrosystem started a study tour in 2016 to promote the energy sector in the younger generation. Initially the project was implemented for high school students of capital city, however, with the request of students and teachers in the regions, since 2017 the project has gone beyond the capital city and the senior students of the regional schools have also been involved in the tour. During the period, GSE hosted senior students from Lanchkhuti, Svaneti, Guria, Kakheti, Gori, Imereti regions. Due to the great interest of the Zugdidi Municipality School, GSE leadership decided to visit the senior students at their hometown.
"We are trying to get as many young people interested in the field of energy as possible, explaining in detail our company's activities, which may prove crucial in their choice of profession," Ucha Uchaneishvili said.
