Tajik Energy Company Representatives Visit GSE
Today, on April 15, representatives of the Tajik State Energy Company (OSHC Barki Tojik) visited the head office of the Georgian State Electrosystem.The purpose of the visit was to discuss the details related to the introduction of emergency control system and to share experiences.
During the visit, GSE staff also showed foreign colleagues the Marneuli substation equipped with modern technologies, where the latest security-control and video-monitoring system is installed. Representatives of OSHC Barki Tojik got acquainted with the principles of operation of emergency control system on site, assessed its impact on the reliability and sustainability of the grid.
Emergency control system was first introduced in the Georgian State Electrosystem in 2011 and has been updated and expanded several times. As a result, the sustainability of Georgia's energy system and the reliability of electricity export-import to neighboring countries have significantly increased.
