World Winter Sports Championship
Georgian State Electrosystem carried out important works in the Akhaltsikhe-500 substation In order to organize the appropriate infrastructure for the World Winter Sports Championship.
In the substation 110KV new voltage cell with transformer, bus and line portals were arranged. 125MW power autotransformer, 110KV SF6 circuit breaker, switches, voltage and current transformers and support insulators were installed.
The World Skiing and Snowboarding Championship will be held in February 2023 in Bakuriani. As a result of the works carried out in the Akhaltsikhe substation the energy supply of the infrastructure necessary for the championship will be provided in continuous and reliable mode.
