Georgian State Electrosystem's Educational Tour in Akhaltsikhe
Georgian State Electrosystem conducted an educational tour in Akhaltsikhe. As part of the field trip, GSE employees visited Akhaltsikhe's First Public School. They gave presentations to high school students on the role of Georgian State Electrosystem in developing the country's energy sector, as well as on general energy topics, including the development of renewable energy production. The discussion covered achievements and challenges in the energy sector. The meeting was conducted in an interactive format.
During the tour, students visited Akhaltsikhe's converter station equipped with the latest technology. They viewed two 350 MW DC inserts (HVDC Back-to-Back Station), which were installed in Georgia as the first of their kind in the Caucasus. They also visited the control panel equipped with modern technology. GSE energy experts provided general information to the students about the functioning of power transmission lines and substations.
Georgian State Electrosystem has been conducting educational tours for students from Tbilisi and regional schools since 2016. This primarily serves to interest the new generation in the energy field. GSE aims to introduce more young people to the company's large-scale projects and implemented modern technologies. Educational tours for students from various schools are planned throughout the year.
