Meeting with CATL Company Representatives
The opportunities for developing energy storage battery system projects in Georgia were discussed by Vano Zardiashvili, Director General of the Georgian State Electrosystem, at a meeting with representatives of CATL, the world's leading battery manufacturing company. During the working meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for future cooperation.
Connecting green energy to the grid represents one of the priorities of the Georgian State Electrosystem. Energy storage batteries will play a significant role in the stability of Georgia's transmission system, ensure an increase in the integration limits of solar and wind power plants, and reduce dependence on electricity imports.
