Working Meeting with Representatives of Larsen & Toubro Limited
Vano Zardiashvili, Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem met with representatives of the construction company Larsen & Toubro Limited. The main topic of the working meeting was the construction project of transmission lines Lajanuri-Tskaltubo, Namakhvani-Tskaltubo, and Namakhvani-Tvishi-Lajanuri"and New Lajanuri-Lajanuri HPP, which is being implemented by Larsen & Toubro Limited.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the project's progress and future planned work, which will help the construction company complete the project within the specified timeframes.
The purpose of the transmission line construction project is to integrate prospective hydropower plants of Racha-Lechkhumi into the grid, improve the transmission network, and enhance reliability.
As a result of the project implementation, it will be possible to meet the growing demand for electricity in the Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions, and the country's export potential will increase.
Georgian State Electrosystem is implementing this project within the framework of the Energy Network Improvement Programme (ENIP), which includes infrastructure projects throughout Georgia.
