Georgian State Electrosystem Management Visited Jvari 500 Substation
Vano Zardiashvili, Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem, visited the GSE-owned Jvari 500 substation located in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti in connection with Energy Workers' Professional Day. He congratulated the substation staff on their professional day and thanked them for their service in developing the country's energy sector.
Director General of GSE toured the substation, its components, 500/200 kV cells, battery room, and control panel. The substation was also visited along with Vano Zardiashvili by Director of Project Management Issues Rusudan Shamugia and other representatives of the management team.
Jvari 500 is one of the key substations for the country's energy supply, which ensures the safe transmission of electricity from hydroelectric power stations located in the northwestern part of Georgia towards Georgia and Turkey, thereby ensuring the satisfaction of growing electricity demand both within the country and beyond its borders.
