Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between Georgian State Electrosystem and Elia Grid International
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Georgian State Electrosystem and Belgium-based engineering consulting company Elia Grid International SA/NV (EGI), aimed at establishing a strategic partnership and strengthening Georgia's electricity transmission network.
Within the framework of the memorandum, EGI expresses readiness to provide consultation to Georgian State Electrosystem on electricity transmission system reliability issues, which in turn will help improve the country's energy security quality and integrate new generation facilities into the network.
EGI's main field of activity is energy, and it implements projects in this direction in more than 20 countries worldwide.
