Georgian State Electrosystem's Training Center Has a Jubilee Cohort of Graduates
The Training Center of Georgian State Electrosystem is marking its jubilee 20th year of operation in 2025. GSE's training, retraining and qualification enhancement program for young engineers admitted its first cohort of students in 2005. This year, the training center has 16 graduates.
The young energy specialists were met by Vano Zardiashvili, Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem, who congratulated them on successfully completing the course, presented them with certificates, and discussed employment prospects at GSE.
"Day by day, the demand for electricity is growing, not only in Georgia but throughout the world, and the active involvement of young, professional energy specialists is very important for strengthening the energy sector," noted Vano Zardiashvili. The meeting took place in an interactive format with the participation of other members of Georgian State Electrosystem's Board of Directors. They wished the young people success in their future activities and expressed interest in employing them in various directions within the company.
During the 20 years of the engineers' training and retraining program's existence at Georgian State Electrosystem, the training center has admitted a new cohort annually and has given young energy specialists the opportunity to enhance their qualifications with prospects for future employment. Over these years, 318 students have completed the program, more than 80% of whom were employed by the company.
The program's goal is to provide the company with new, qualified personnel and to raise awareness not only about Georgian State Electrosystem's activities among the younger generation, but also to popularize the energy sector in general.
