Auto-transformer was Installed at Gori Substation
Georgian State Electrosystem has successfully completed the dismantling and movement of 220 kV and 125 MVA auto-transformer from Gldani substation to Gori-220 substation.
Until today, only one auto-transformer was operating at Gori substation and, therefore, it was impossible to shut it off for maintenance work. After the new auto-transformer is put into operation, both auto-transformers will work simultaneously, which will allow technical personnel to carry out capital repairs.
Due to the project implementation, the network reliability will significantly increase in the region and customers will be provided with continuous, high quality and stable power supply.
