Power Consumption in Georgia Reached Historic Peak
Yesterday, on July 2, at about 16:00, due to the sharp increase in temperature, the peak power consumption of 1920 MW was observed in the Georgian power system, which is a record high for the summer period after 80-ies.
Due to high temperature in these days, power consumption in the Georgian power system has significantly increased. This indicator of consumption is 12% higher than in the same period last year.
It is noteworthy that in recent years, the growth rate of summer peak power consumption in the Georgian power system exceeds the growth rate of winter peak power consumption, and this tendency will be maintained over the next few years.
