SCADA Renewal Project Trainings
Updating the project of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) program is underway at Georgian State Electrosystem. The design phase of the SCADA / EMS system upgrade has already been completed. GSE staff is currently undergoing the first phase of the project training, which involves working on the SCADA database.
The SCADA upgrade project aims at data collecting and processing, refining remote control processes and moving to a whole new level of development. The implementation of the project is of great importance in terms of measuring, monitoring and remote control of data coming from substations, as the upgraded program ensures more information exchange and efficient dispatching.
The project is being implemented under the auspices of the World Bank “Transmission grid strengthening” Project and is expected to be completed in 2020.
