Visit of Representatives of DIgSILENT to Georgian State Electrosystem
Representatives of German Consulting Company DIgSILENT GmbH and Georgian State Electrosystem held a two-day working meeting at the Head Office of GSE.
The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the initial findings of the study conducted by DIgSILENT GmbH specialists on the integration of renewable energy sources into the Georgian power system.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of the Project, talked over the Network Code and the technical requirements that wind and solar power plants shall meet to ensure sustainable operation of the power system.
After the working meeting, a presentation on the initial findings of the study was held at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
The study is being conducted to determine the share of integration of renewable energy sources with variable generation, considering the sustainability and reliability requirements of the system.
