For importers
Any person acting in full compliance with the procedures established by the applicable legislation of Georgia (see the link: HOW TO APPLY and Conditions for Electricity Import ) may import electricity without any state consent or license. In addition, the importer is a person who receives at one or more point(s) of receipt (for the definition of a point of receipt, please see the link for the Law of Georgia on Electricity and Water Supply) from outside Georgia and sells and/or uses electricity (capacity).
Electricity import tariffs are determined by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC).
