Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Minister Inga Pkhaladze, and the Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem, Vano Zardiashvili, met with representatives of companies operating in the energy sector.

For the first time employees of Georgian State Electrosystem have participated in a large-scale waste management training, which will lay the foundation for enhancing staff qualifications in various environmental areas.

The total investment of ENIP programme is EUR 270 Mio, co-financed by the Federal German Government through KfW and EBRD, including EUR 9.9 Mio grant funding from the EU Neighbourhood Investment Platform (EU NIP) implemented by KfW.

The Black Sea submarine cable project envisages the arrangement of an underwater high-voltage transmission network, which should connect the electric power systems of Georgia and Europe.
