This Report presents the findings of the scoping phase of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment(ESIA) of a number of transmission line projects being promoted by the Georgian State Electrosystem JSC (GSE) and which are to be funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ( EBRD), KfW Development Bank (KfW) and the European Union(EU). The projects (Project) form part of the GSE Ten Year Network Development Plan1.This plan sets out the strategic need and importance of the proposed projects which are principally driven by the need to improve the resilience of the network and to connect a number of new energy generation projects.
